Story Cubes

For your birthday last year, Aunt Amanda and uncle skip gave us these story cubes. They are so neat. You roll the dice, and create a story based on what you get. Here's what we got:

Thumbsucking Achievement!!!!

You have struggled with sucking your thumb since you were a baby.

We have tried warnings, punishments, stories of crooked teeth grown ups who sucked their thumbs as children, a brush on liquid that tastes terrible, putting a sock on your hand, etc. Nothing worked. As much as you wanted to stop, you couldn't. 

For some reason, this week it clicked. We had an elastic wrap that we cut to fit, and you have used it continually without sucking for about a WEEK!!!

We take it off in public, because we don't want you to be embarrassed, and you don't suck your thumb in public anyway. 

I told you that if you could hold off for a week, I would give you a prize. So I got you a One Direction cd. You love it!

I am just SO SO proud of you, and I hope your determination pays off.
